In October 2022, Dmitri Tcherniakov’s new production of the Ring will celebrate its premiere at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin. After Daniel Barenboim’s cancellation due to illness, Christian Thielemann will take over the first and third Ring cycles, Thomas Guggeis the second Ring cycle.

Vida Miknevičiūtė will make her role debut as Sieglinde (Die Walküre) in the new Ring at the Berlin State Opera.
