

Alexandra Kadurina

Kiev mezzo-soprano Alexandra Kadurina studied at the conservatory of her home city and completed her studies at the opera studio of the Bolshoi Theatre.
Since 2017/18 she has been member of the ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she sang Sesto in La clemenza di Tito, Smeton in Anna Bolena, Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette, Ino in Semele, Wellgunde in Rheingold, Grimgerde in Die Walküre and Carlotta in Die schweigsame Frau. She also appeared in Karlsruhe as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Flora in La traviata and Mussorgsky’s song cycle Kinderstube.
She had great success at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre as Dorabella in Floris Visser’s Così fan tutte – a role she repeated under David Bösch in Geneva – as well as Lel in the highly acclaimed new production of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snowflake, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier, and Feodor in Boris Godunov. At the Komische Oper Berlin and the Zurich Opera she made guest appearances as Muse / Nicklausse in Les contes d‘Hoffmann, a role she also sang in Floris Visser’s new production in Karlsruhe. At the Paris Opera and the Teatro Real in Madrid she was heard in Philippe Fenelon’s Kirschgarten. She has collaborated with conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski, Alberto Zedda, Stefano Montanari, Mikhail Pletnev and Vassily Sinaisky.
In the 2021/22 season she can be heard at the Badisches Staatstheater as Ramiro in La finta giardiniera, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi, among others. She also recently made her debut at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen as Ramiro in the new production of Mozart’s La finta giardiniera and as Muse in the new production of Les contes d‘Hoffmann at the Theater Erfurt.
